Business email & Google Calendar

Customer questions and replies go to 352pgtr@gmail.com. Internal booking notifications go to gatortotesrental@gmail.com and that account’s primary calendar. Already connected? Use the update instructions below.

Update your existing Google connection

Guest email verification: Copy and redeploy this complete script using the instructions below. It adds six-digit verification emails for guest booking and recovery, without a ChatGPT account. Codes expire after 10 minutes and work once in the requesting browser. There is no new key or URL to copy. The website will refuse guest verification until the deployed bridge advertises this capability. Verification emails do not create Calendar events or take payment.

Public guest booking uses email verification. Owner approval and business controls still require your business sign-in. Stripe remains in test mode. Once you own and connect a custom domain, set SITE_ORIGIN in Sites runtime settings to its exact https origin; do not point it at an unowned domain. This controls future Stripe return and booking email links.

Extra rental week: This script also includes package-specific one-week extensions (Basic $49.97, Standard $79.97, Plus $109.97 per package) in booking emails and uses the saved 21-day pickup date for Calendar. Requests with the new add-on stay queued until this updated script is redeployed.

This update adds customer confirmation and denial emails with direct edit-and-resubmit links, and sets customer replies and questions to 352pgtr@gmail.com. It also supports payment receipts and separate Confirm and Deny decisions for delivery and pickup. Calendar shows each appointment’s own decision, time, and address. Customer emails and appointment decisions stay safely queued until this updated script is deployed. Your existing URL and shared secret stay the same.

  1. or open the complete script.
  2. Open your existing Apps Script project as gatortotesrental@gmail.com. Click inside Code.gs, select all of its contents, and replace them with the copied script. Save. The file starts with /* Prairie Gator booking bridge. Keep your existing Script properties and Calendar service.
  3. Choose Deploy → Manage deployments → Edit (pencil) → Version: New version → Deploy. Keep Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone. Updating the existing deployment keeps the same /exec URL and website secret.
  4. Return to Review saved reservation & pickup requests, click Load saved requests, then Email approval links for saved requests if you need fresh owner approval links. Check the business inbox for the updated emails. Existing confirmed requests are also synchronized to their saved times. If updates remain queued, click Send saved requests & pending updates.

In the business email, use Approve requested dates & times. It opens a private confirmation screen: check the listed Eastern times, then choose Confirm delivery, Deny delivery, Confirm pickup, or Deny pickup. Add a reason when denying a time. You can also choose Confirm approval to approve both requested times while signed in as the site owner (info@zoomista.net). Email link previews cannot approve requests. A pickup change sends a new approval link; older links cannot approve the changed request. Confirmed dates appear under Manage my reservation.

Calendar entries and notification emails include a link back to the website. Calendar’s invitation acceptance controls do not approve website reservations; use the button in the business email. The updated script emails the business inbox and sends customer updates to the single email address entered on that reservation. Denial emails include an Edit delivery/pickup & resubmit for approval button that loads the booking after the customer verifies their guest email or signs in with their original account. Customer replies go to 352pgtr@gmail.com; sending and Calendar access continue through the existing business Google account. Customer emails never contain owner approval links. Payment receipts are sent only after Stripe verifies a successful payment.

Set up a new Google connection
  1. Sign in to Google Apps Script as gatortotesrental@gmail.com, then create a project named Prairie Gator booking notifications.
  2. Copy the complete script above and replace all contents of Code.gs. Save.
  3. Choose Services → + → Google Calendar API → Add.
  4. Under Project settings → Script properties, add BOOKING_SHARED_SECRET with a new random secret at least 32 characters long. Keep it private.
  5. Run verifyBusinessGoogle once and review Google’s permissions as the business account. It checks access without sending email or creating events.
  6. Choose Deploy → New deployment → Web app. Set Execute as: Me and access to Anyone. This signed notification endpoint is separate from your private rental website.
  7. Save the /exec URL as GOOGLE_BOOKING_WEBHOOK_URL and the matching secret as GOOGLE_BOOKING_WEBHOOK_SECRET in Sites runtime settings. Enable Secret for the secret value. Do not put secrets in website files.
  8. On the website, load saved requests and click Send saved requests & pending updates. Check the business inbox and Calendar, then test a new request and a pickup change.

Test requests remain labeled TEST. Pending requests show REQUESTED in Calendar; approved dates show CONFIRMED and block time. Older requests missing a time need a valid time before approval. If a send result is uncertain, review the business inbox and Apps Script executions before retrying. Google email quotas apply.
